NYC Legal Nurse Consulting is a sole proprietorship founded by Andrea Radoff RN, MSN, LNC. Andrea is an experienced Legal Nurse Consultant and has extensive nursing experience in the Cardiac Catherization Lab, Cardio-thoracic ICU, Coronary Care ICU, Surgical ICU, Medical ICU, Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) including orthopedic/spine patients, neurosurgery patients, gynecology patients, GI/GU patients and Forensic Nursing. NYC Legal Nurse Consulting is qualified to provide medical and nursing opinions as an expert on health, illness and the healthcare system.
About Andrea Radoff RN, MSN, LNC:
Andrea is originally from CT where she obtained her Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) in Forensic Nursing. Forensic Nursing is the application of nursing science to public or legal proceedings; the application of the forensic aspects of health care combined with the bio-psycho-social education of the registered nurse in the scientific investigation and treatment of trauma and/or death of victims and perpetrators of abuse, violence, criminal activity and traumatic accidents.
The forensic nurse provides direct services to individual clients, consultation services to nursing, medical and law related agencies, as well as providing expert court testimony in areas dealing with trauma and/or questioned death investigative processes, adequacy of services delivery and specialized diagnoses of specific conditions as related to nursing.
In addition to practicing as a Legal Nurse Consultant, Andrea has most recently been an RN working in the Cardiac Catherization Lab. Prior to which she was a travel RN, working in various ICUs throughout the country, giving her a view of different techniques and practices used in different hospitals. She has been working in critical care since 1998, caring for the sickest members of the population. During this time period she has mastered the skills of organization, time management, delegation, communication, thinking on her feet, being a team player, and acting as a liaison between the patient’s families and the rest of the medical staff.
She currently resides in NYC.
